I sent an e-mail to Google on October 18, about how many of their directions at maps.google.com from my home to St. Louis include McKinley Bridge, which has been closed since October 30, 2001.  I received a response today:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for our delayed
response. We’ve been busy improving your experience on Google by joining
Google Maps and Google Local as a unified property, now called Google
Local. We’ve forwarded the information you’ve provided us with about
McKinley Bridge to the appropriate department. We’re constantly working to
improve Google Local, and we appreciate your support.

That said, if you haven’t yet used the Google Local Help Center, we
encourage you to visit in the future. You can browse the Help Center by
topic or search for an answer to a specific question. You’ll also find a
quick way to send us additional questions or comments. To check it out,
please visit the Help Center at http://local.google.com/support

Regards,
The Google Team

It’s nice to see that they are working to fix things.  This is one of the reasons I’m a huge supporter of all things Google, even though it does appear they are growing to Microsoft-like proportions.
